Following IVE’s comeback announcement, they initially released the first teaser video and promotional schedule for their third album ‘EMPATHY!’
However, due to the unfortunate incident at Muan Airport this morning, IVE announced that they will postpone their promotional activities and will soon release an updated schedule.
This reflects the common practice in the Korean entertainment industry of postponing or canceling entertainment activities when major accidents occur, as a sign of respect for the incident.
According to the original schedule, the single “REBEL HEART” and its MV were set to be released at 6 PM KST on January 13, with the full album release scheduled for February 2 KST.
Their agency STARSHIP Entertainment stated: “The promotional schedule for ‘IVE THE 3rd EP ‘ originally planned for today (29th) and tomorrow (30th) will be postponed.”
They added: “We express our deepest condolences to the victims of the accident and their bereaved families.
